Historique :	Déplacement du maître-autel dans une chapelle latérale, chapelle Sainte-Jeanne d'Arc (Procès-verbal de la Commission supérieure des Monuments historiques séance du 28 juin 2005). Sont apparus des lambris en bois doré du pourtour du choeur. Selon M.-Cl. Léonelli, cet autel proviendrait de la chapelle en croix grecque d'un établissement religieux d'Avignon : le noviciat des jésuites aujourd'hui hospice Saint-Louis. Il aurait été transféré à Ménerbes au moment de la Révolution.Le devant d'oautel en bois doré, où l'on trouve une Adoration de Saint-Louis devant la Croix confirmerait cette hypothèse. L'autel d'une très remarquable qualité d'exécution est posé sur trois marches placées assez en avant. Il a été conçu pour pouvoir tourner autour ainsi qu'en témoigne la qualité et la finition du revers de l'autel.
