Historique :	"Monseigneur du Lau était archevêque d'Arles. Il fut victime du massacre au couvent des Carmes de Paris, le 2 septembre 1792. Crucifix reçu par la communauté jésuite d’Avignon qui l'a laissé au diocèse lors de son départ. La présentation actuelle a été réalisée dans les années 90 (97) sur une croix d'ébène à l'initiative de Mgr André Reyne par l'ébéniste Renaud de Dieuleveult. Le panneau du premier cadre a été conservé et apposé au dos du socle."
