Historique :	Cité à cet emplacement dans l’Inventaire des objets appartenant à la fabrique de l’église paroissiale d’Orange dressé en 1838, puis dans celui de 1861. Était présent dans le choeur dans les années 1980 (V. Faure).

Précision sur_l'état :	Oeuvre restaurée en 1988 par Jean Bouchet.

Précision_sur la representation :	Saint Augustin est représenté sous les traits d'un homme barbu. Il porte les attributs de sa fonction d'évêque (mitre dorée, chape blanche et or pourvue d'images brodées et d'une doublure rose, crosse posée à l'arrière). Il porte également une aube et un cordon d'aube, ainsi qu'une étole à plateaux. Il est représenté en pied, dans un décor intérieur antiquisant, prenant des notes à la plume sur un volume posé sur une tablette. Le ciel comporte une trouée lumineuse en haut à gauche ainsi que des têtes d'ange aparaissant dans les nuages.
